Cell: (712) 355 - 8469
Jessica Duncan of Council Bluffs was recently named Senior Living Consultant at the new CountryHouse Residence for Memory Care.
As Senior Living Consultant, Duncan will support the mission, vision and culture of CountryHouse by connecting area families and their loved ones to the CountryHouse memory care lifestyle. In addition to community outreach, leading tours and planning marketing-related events, Duncan will help guide new residents and their families through the process of transitioning into a memory care community.
Duncan is well-known in Council Bluffs. A Council Bluffs native, she is a graduate of Creighton University earning a Bachelor’s degree in Health Care Administration and Policy. She started her healthcare career as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Prior to joining the CountryHouse team, she worked at Primrose Retirement Community where she discovered a passion for working with and helping seniors. “Seniors are so fascinating and full of life,” she said. “Even people living with memory loss have stories to tell. They still love sharing them … almost as much as I love hearing them.”
Duncan also worked as development coordinator in the Jennie Edmundson Foundation where she was instrumental in helping to coordinate the inaugural “Jenyi for Jennie” Volleyball Tournament that raised funds for state-of-the-art cancer fighting technology in memory of a “Spirit of Courage” Lifetime Achievement Award winner, Jenyi Knudsen-Bergsten.
When not at work, Duncan stays busy with her family, friends and coonhound Hugo. She is an active board member of the Council Bluffs Optimist Club, is a member of Impact CB and Southwest Iowa Networking Group along with CBBC.
